All the texts were typed on a mechanical typewriter made in Germany by Rheinmetall in 1941. The choice of such a method of reproduction was no chance idea. The readily recognizable typeface conveys the atmosphere of the time when samizdat was the only possible way that many poets and writers could get their works out to the public. Grigoryev himself also printed his poems on a typewriter and passed them on for friends to read.
The illustrations in each copy of the print-run display noticeable differences that communicate the “live” execution of the drawings and the artist’s individual approach.
The book has a storage case decorated with fabric.
