The editions differ in their artistic design: the binding, typeface, method of typesetting and placement of the text, the decoration of the pages, the subjects and composition of the illustrations that were masterfully executed by Yury Lyukshin in a technique combining etching and aquatint, then hand-tinted with watercolour.

The artistic embellishment of the biblical text is brought to perfection by exquisitely executed plant ornaments, skilful vignettes containing depictions of animals, birds and ancient biblical symbols, as well as meticulously drawn elegant tailpieces.
This edition of The Book of Ecclesiastes or The Preacher contains 16 illustrations.
The front cover is adorned with a composition of reliefs cast from sterling silver finished with chasing and patination. The basis for the design was one of the most symbolic illustrations in the book – an allegorical depiction of the Gates of Paradise.
The book has a storage case decorated with fabric.
