More than 30 epigrammatic poems written by Philodemus have come down to us, almost all of them on the theme of love. In an elegant form and a style typical for ancient epigrams, Philodemus presents love in its most frivolous variety, love for any attractive young woman and, of course, for hetaerae, love that is completely unrestrained, free and joyous, devoid of any obligations, morality, caution or concern for possible future misfortunes.
Binding: leather, suede, fabric, ancient coins, seashells; embossing.
The book has a storage case decorated with fabric.
